We came on holiday to Civitella Alfedena without knowing anything, for dinner we found this place by chance. An excellent discovery. We had an appetizer with game cured meats and typical cheeses, half pappardella with wild boar with the meat very soft and cooked to the point that it melted in your mouth, kebabs, needless to say, the escarole, I think I've never eaten so good!Excellent service, the lady who served us was kind and friendly.Super recommended place!

Beautiful little place, typical of the mountains. The food was all good and tasty and the owner was so kind, explaining to us the progress of the Park and its wonderful animals. Thanks for everything.

You can eat very well, typical Abruzzo food, or if you prefer a good pizza, but in a place like this it is worth tasting the local delicacies. Visited during the Covid alert period, I must say that this is the first place where they don't bring the menu to your table for obvious hygiene reasons, it seems silly, but it's a very important precaution. Very kind and attentive staff. They accept credit cards, which is also important and you can enter, at least now, only by reservation, and I must say that at the agreed time the table was already ready. A place that I recommend to everyone

One of those places "to remember" if you are passing through or if you want to take a trip out of town. Mr. Mauro, as the perfect host, makes guests feel at ease by offering excellent dishes, bringing out the best flavor of local products, respecting their simplicity at the same time. Everything excellent. To return and return

We stopped at this restaurant for dinner after it was recommended to us. The interior is truly characteristic, like almost all the local places, but it is striking for those of us who come from the city. We ordered the starter complete with cured meats and cheeses. The cured meats were excellent even if I like a slightly longer seasoning (but this is a strictly personal opinion) and they were made from wild boar, deer and fallow deer. The sheep's cheeses were exquisite to say the least, including the sheep's ricotta which was a cream. All accompanied by good homemade bread. To accompany it we took the house red wine, the loose one. Intense taste, color and aroma.Let's move on to the first ones. Spaghetti alla guitar with scorzone and butter. An exceptional thing, a creaminess suited to the dish, just right, not too liquid nor too hard and plenty of slices of scorzone on top. Fragrant and tasty dish. Another first course, pappardelle with venison sauce. A plain sauce with boiled meat and a scent of bay leaves to lighten it up. Those are delicious too. We stopped there because we were full. Advised. Parking a little complicated. There is one in front of the restaurant but if it is full, you have to go elsewhere because it is impossible to park along the street.

We tasted the typical Abruzzo dishes and enjoyed them a lot and ate with gusto, the service and location were also excellent. I highly recommend it

We had lunch on a Saturday in March where the restaurant was very full and received excellent service from Jimmy. The food was fabulous. Very good. Typical local meal in a location that reflects Villetta Barrea, with chandeliers with deer antlers and much more. I highly recommend the pappardelle with venison ragù, excellent!I would go back a thousand times, just a step away from the river!
